I have so many things to write about since it’s been a bit since my last post, but I was struck today by a small incident that I felt deserved it’s very own post.

Today is a gorgeous, sunny day here in Nashville. Because I can’t have pets where I live, I take advantage of my friend’s dogs quit a bit by playing with them, walking them, and soaking in their sweet puppiness. Today was a perfect day for that. I went and picked up my friends little dog and walked her around the local park. This park has a couple play grounds on it and often has families and young kids running around. After I had made the big loop, smiling at passing kids on tricycles and turning my face towards the sun, I passed a young boy getting a drink by the water fountain. He couldn’t have been more than 8 or 9. Right as I passed by he yelled at the top of his lungs..”SON OF A…!”
Now, we all know what usually comes after ‘Son of a..’ especially when yelled with such enthusiasm.
I don’t know If I was more taken aback by the fact that my sunny walk was interrupted by such foul language from such a little guy, or that my immediate thought was…”Kids these days…”
either way, it gave me a giggle all the way home.
